Box elastics are an important tool in orthodontic treatment, used to adjust the positioning of the teeth and jaw. These bands are designed to fit snugly around the brackets of braces and provide an orthodontist with precise control over each tooth, allowing targeted movement throughout the treatment process. It’s important to wear the elastics all day and night, only taking them out for eating and cleaning your teeth. It’s important to put them back in straight away. If you break or lose any of the elastics, don’t worry; just contact our practice and we can provide you with some new ones.
